VICE PRESIDENT OF VIETNAM OIL AND GAS GROUP (PVN) - MR LE MANH HUNG HAD A WORKING VISIT AT NGHI SON REFINERY AND PETROCHEMICAL PLANT


Morning of March 14, 2019, Mr. Le Manh Hung – Vice President of PVN had a meeting with Leaders of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) at the Company's office at the plant. Attending the meeting with Mr. Le Manh Hung, PVN also has other attendees including Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Head of PVN Gas and Oil Processing Division, Mr. Phan Kien Anh - Director of PVN Distribution Branch (PVNDB who is taking responsibility of off-taking refinery products of NSRP on behalf of PVN) and some officers of the Departments and Branches under PVN.

On the side of NSRP, Mr. Shintaro Ishida - General Director, Mr. Khaled Albader - Deputy General Director, Mr. Pham Van Chat - Deputy General Director, representatives of the refinery and departments welcome the working visit of PVN Vice President - Mr. Le Manh Hung with his delegation.


After the reports of NSRP, PVN Vice President - Mr. Le Manh Hung made some suggestions to share his technical experiences and instruct the Company on technical management in order to ensure stable operation of the plant. Besides, Mr. Le Manh Hung has instruction on product offtake transaction between NSRP and PVNDB and give guidance for dealing with outstanding issues. The company’s business management of NSRP also got comments and instructions of PVN Vice President, especially the issue of expense management, how to optimize the expense in order to improve the effectiveness of the Company’s performance.


Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC is a joint venture company who invested NSRP project with a total investment capital of over US$ 9 billion contributed by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (25,1%), Kuwait Petroleum Europe – KPE (35.1%) from Kuwait, Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd (35.1%) and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (4.7%) from Japan. The project started EPC since July 2013 and started commercial operation in November 2018.
