The development of education for students in the four project affected communes is always given priority by the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP). Since 2015, NSRP has been building and implementing projects to support students, teachers and schools in Mai Lam, Hai Yen, Tinh Hai and Nguyen Binh communes.

In the morning of July 20th, 2018, the Closing seminar on Phase III of Educational Supporting Project was solemnly organized. Attending the workshop were representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province and Tinh Gia district and representaties of the Management Board, teachers and students from more than 2,000 students, teachers of five participating schools.

The seminar was an opportunity for stakeholders to report on the results of the project, evaluate and share lessons learned, and commend the contribution of the typical teams and individuals during the project implementation.

The project has gained remarkable results, contributing to the livelihood restoration in four project communes in particular and education development in Tinh Gia district in general. The project has attracted more than 20,000 turns of teachers and students to participate in life skills education, career orientation and English, encouraging science and technology creation, awarded 53 scholarships to pupils and students, 1488 lectures with topics related to life skills education, career orientation and English were deployed. 35 scientific and technical initiatives by students of Tinh Gia 3 high school were being participated the competition with the series of extracurricular events were held for students and teachers.

Representing for more than 2,000 students participating in the project, the 8th grade student from Hai Yen Secondary School, Cao Thi Thu Phuong, said: "This is the third year I participated in the educational support project sponsored by NSRP. Since joining the project, I have learned a lot of new things. The life skills education helps me feel more confident and know how to take care more of myself. In addition, I can apply mind-map tool to the study. Thanks to the English club, I have found myself much more confident in using foreign language when meeting and communicating with foreigners. "
