Refinery Project Engineer is responsible to plan and execute the project in the refinery. Duties include supporting the refinery in the field of petroleum / petrochemical process engineering covering all aspects from conceptual design, through detailed engineering, day-to-day activities, and long-term performance improvements.
For this position, minimum works are as follows:
– Evaluate technical and economical aspects of proposals for new or revamping facilities submitted from within and from outside the company and prepare the plan after approval.
– Establish the plan of new or revamping facilities after having considered profitability and safety.
– Conduct basic planning work and basic design work while coordinating outside consultants or contractors if necessary.
– Advance key performance index (KPIs) through the revamping facilities.
– Coordinate and evaluate work being conducted by outside consultants or contractors.
– Conduct the whole coordination, execution, evaluation and acceptance for project regarding new or revamping facilities.
– Serve Process Safety Management and execute Management of Change of equipment condition.
– Update and manage the engineering standards as needed in order to ensure that all new equipment is in conformance.
-Update and manage technical documents related to new or revamping facilities.
– Make minutes on meeting and formal reports for technical studies etc.
– Make monthly report for project work etc.
– Carry out the job instructed by Section Manager, Deputy Section Manager and Inspection Leader.

– University degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent
– Min 5 years experience in petroleum / petrochemical process design and operation or Equivalent
– Knowledgeable with process design, process operation and have the experience in detailed engineering studies that includes economic analyses, process simulations, and project-related activities.
– Proficiency in safe operations of process units, including familiarity with process safety elements such as MOCs, HAZOPs and behavioral safety.
– Experience in the use of software such as HYSIS (process modeling) and PIPEPHASE software.
– Report writing and presentation skills
– English skills IELTS 5.0
– Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
