RBI Engineer

Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC is seeking a skilled RBI Engineer to join our Central Engineering Section – Asset Integrity Department.

• Oversee and support in all RBI preparation works which include data quality validation and checks of RBI inputs from various divisions;
• Oversee and support Corrosion Loop development and mark-up in PFD;
• Oversee and support Piping Circuit (including mixing point, injection point, deadleg and smallbore piping) development and mark-ups in P&IDs;
• Performs Probability of Failure (PoF), Consequence of Failure (CoF) assessments and sensitivity analysis;
• Perform and support damage mechanism reviews and overrides in PCMS;
• Analyze inspection history, IOW information, operating & process parameters, MOC and FFS information in making decisions during RBI Assessment;
• Check retiring thickness and remaining life calculations of pressure equipment and piping;
• Generate reports and presentation with risk assessment results and mitigation plan;
• Oversee recommendations to close the gaps identified during RBI Assessments;
• Facilitate RBI Workshops and oversee if MOM (post RBI Workshop) action items are addressed;
• Support RBI Leader to generate shutdown inspection work list for plant turnaround;
• Develop procedures and work instruction related to RBI program in NSRP;
• Acts as overall PCMS Administrator and coordinate with IT for updates and improvements;
• Study the inspection procedures/practices. Review/edit inspection reports when required and ensures that inspection records are well maintained;
• Manage objectives and departmental targets/KPI’s (MBO);
• Support in developing and achieving overall Quality Based Observations (QBO) objectives of RBI team;
• Complete all assignments through RBI project;
• Manage the contractor ‘s document submission for review and approval as assigned;
• Training PCMS RBI assessment process/technique as RBI engineer expert to less experience engineers;
• Other tasks assigned by Leader and Managers.

• Minimum 8 years relevant RBI assessment experience of equipment and piping in the oil & gas, petrochemical plant industries, Minimum 2 Turnaround experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical plant industries;
• Experience in carrying out RBI Assessments and Evaluations in oil & gas refinery and petrochemical;
• Working knowledge of oil and gas industry processes particularly refining and petrochemical;
• Experience in developing and maintaining corrosion circuits;
• Experience in damage mechanism assessment reviews;
• Experience in utilizing and maintaining Asset Data Management software like Plant Condition Management Software (PCMS);
• Working experience with plant historian data base like Uniformance Process Studio (UPS);
• Working experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS);
• Knowledge in conventional and advance NDT applications and limitations;
• Ability to multi-task on parallel priorities, good approach to prioritization;
• Strong spreadsheet, project scheduling and data base skills;
• Strong communication, presentation and technical report writing skills;
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, also able to teach skills to more junior engineers;
• Proficiency with common computer programs such as MS Office, PowerPoints, Excel etc;
• English skill level of IELTS 5.0, TOEIC 650 or better.
