NSRP and its Trade Union, together with NSRP employees donate over VND1 billion for typhoon Yagi’s victims

In response to the call from Party and State leaders, along with the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) and its Trade Union have generously contributed VND1 billion to assist relevant communities in recovering from the impacts of Typhoon No. 3.

On the morning of September 16th, in Hanoi, Mr. Kazutaka Yamato – General Director of NSRP, representing the company’s management and Mr. Le Ngoc Loan – Chairman of NSRP Trade Union, representing the Standing Committee of NSRP Trade Union, presented VND500 million to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

Following this, on September 17th, a delegation of NSRP Trade Union led by Mr. Le Ngoc Loan – TU Chairman, visited and presented VND500 million to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. During the trip, the delegation also visited and directly provided 37 million VND to 32 seriously ill patients affected by the Lang Nu landslide in Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, as well as to 5 households impacted by Storm Yagi in Tan Long commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province.

Mr. Le Ngoc Loan – TU Chairman and delegation of NSRP Trade Union, visited and presented VND500 million to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

The delegation visited 5 households impacted by Typhoon Yagi in Tan Long commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province.

The delegation also visited 32 seriously ill patients affected by the Lang Nu landslide in Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province.

In response to the extensive damage inflicted by Typhoon No. 3, from September 10th to 14th, 2024, NSRP and its Trade Union rallied all employees to contribute and support those affected in the northern provinces. A total of over 1 billion VND was raised through a combination of the company’s budget, the Trade Union fund, and generous voluntary contributions from NSRP employees.

Mr. Kazutaka Yamato, General Director of NSRP, stated: “As one of the largest FDI enterprises in Vietnam, NSRP is committed to leading livelihood recovery initiatives and supporting our communities. We aim to collaborate with the government, local authorities and the people to address challenges, from the COVID-19 pandemic to natural disaster relief. In light of the severe damage caused by the super Typhoon Yagi, NSRP is dedicated to alleviating the hardships faced by those affected, helping them swiftly return to normalcy.”

This initiative not only highlights NSRP’s social responsibility but also reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting society and communities during challenging times.
