On the morning of March 26th, 2021, under the coordination of NSRP, NSRP Trade Union and Red Cross Association – Center of Hematology – Blood Transfusion, Thanh Hoa province, NSRP’s Blood Donation Day was organized for the first time in Nghi Son Refinery. More than 140 managers, leaders, officers, employees, Trade Union members, and contractors enthusiastically participated in this meaningful activity with the hope of “every drop of blood gives away, a life stay”.

Although NSRP Blood Donation Day was held very early from 7:00 am, it still attracted the participation of many people. NSRP Deputy General Director – Mr. Le Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Human Resources & Training Manager – Mr. Shigeru Matsuda, NSRP Trade Union Chairman – Mr. La Manh Truong and Managers, experts, and employees showed up from the beginning to directly donate blood.

The organizers arranged a large and airy place to donate blood, evenly divided the blood collection area with many different time frames in order to help prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic following the guidance of avoid gathering in crowded places and control the pandemic in the area of NSRP canteen. The Organizing Committee arranged hand sanitizer for volunteers participated in the blood donation. Accordingly, volunteers were checked blood pressure and informed the results of blood tests. They were taken care of in compliance with the current regulations: snacks served in place, gifts presented from the Red Cross and also granted a certificate of voluntary blood donation. As a result, after just one morning, the organizers recorded 140 units of blood donated from volunteers.

Especially, at the event, there was the presence of Mr. Le Xuan Hao, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross. He shared: “Although this is the first time NSRP implements blood donation activity, it has attracted the participation of many people. The event is organized professionally, quickly, creating the most favorable conditions for the Center of Hematology – Blood Transfusion to take blood. I hope from this starting point, NSRP can make Blood Donation Day into an annual activity, to be able to contribute more precious drops of blood to the blood bank, bringing life to hundreds of patients who need blood transfusion. “
On behalf of NSRP’s BOM, Deputy General Director – Mr. Le Nguyen Quoc Vinh thanked Mr. Le Xuan Hao for his participation and affirmed that this would be a long-term program of NSRP, bringing a high stature and meaning. It not only showed responsibility and honor but also the spirit of love sharing and unanimity of the whole Company “One heart, One passion towards the community”.

“The “NSRP Blood Donation Day” is part of a series of activities to celebrate the establishment of the Company Foundation Day April 14th, a highly valued social responsibility activities containing love messages. Therefore, not only blood donation activity, next, NSRP will try to organize similar activities so that the employees of the whole Company can promote love sharing. This is also a chance for NSRP employees and TU members to unit and live with responsibility, compassion and tolerance.” – NSRP TU Chairman Mr. La Manh Truong shared.
