NSRP welcomed members of the training class for planning officers of the 14th Central Executive Committee

On August 16, in Nghi Son, Thanh Hoa, NSRP welcomed the training class for the planning officers of the 14th Central Executive Committee (first class) to visit and work at Nghi Son refinery.  

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Duy Bac, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The training class had 50 trainees, including Mr. Le Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam). 

On the NSRP side, the delegation was received by the Board of Management, General Director Mr. Kazutaka Yamato, Deputy General Director Mr. Ahmad Alsaad and General Manager of the Refinery Mr. Le Nguyen Quoc Vinh.

On behalf of the NSRP Board of Management, Mr. Kazutaka Yamato, NSRP’s General Director, delivered the opening remarks to welcome the training class and express gratitude to the distinguished delegation for visiting the refinery. 

In his speech, Mr. Yamato conveyed the company’s commitment to continuous operational optimization and asset utilization efficiency to drive economic value for its investors. He further stated NSRP’s objective to increase domestic market penetration through expanded product sales.

Moreover, Mr. Yamato emphasized NSRP’s desire to maintain the guidance and support from the ministries, departments and local authorities of Thanh Hoa province as the company progresses with its strategic initiatives. 

Following Mr. Yamato’s opening remarks, Mr. Le Manh Hung, PVN Chairman Board of Directors, provided a brief overview of the NSRP project. He highlighted that the NSRP refinery features a highly modern technological configuration, affording a superior level of oil and gas processing capabilities. In addition to refined products, Mr. Hung noted that the refinery also manufactures critical petrochemical outputs, such as paraxylene and benzene, which serve as essential inputs for the downstream development of the petrochemical industry. 

In closing, Mr. Hung expressed his hope that the leaders of the ministries, departments, and local authorities would continue to lend their attention and support to PVN and NSRP. This, he stated, would be instrumental in resolving any outstanding challenges and creating favorable conditions to enable more effective project development and operations.

On behalf of the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, the Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of Thanh Hoa province, PVN, and NSRP. He acknowledged their efforts in facilitating the officers of the training class to conduct a field survey of the NSRP refinery.

Dr. Bac emphasized that through this hands-on visit and assessment of the refinery, a nationally significant energy project, the officers would gain invaluable practical experience. This, in turn, would better equip them to effectively carry out their assigned responsibilities going forward. 

Following the conference room discussions, the delegation conducted a comprehensive site survey of the key areas at the NSRP refinery, including the production facilities and the jetty. Through this on-site assessment, the delegation was able to gain a thorough understanding of the refinery’s operational and production processes.
