NSRP’s ‘For A Cozier Winter in the Borderland’: A commitment to community care

On November 8 and 9, 2024, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) collaborated with the Quan Son District People’s Committee and the local governments of Na Meo and Son Thuy Communes to hold heartfelt awarding ceremonies as part of their “For A Cozier Winter in the Borderland” campaign. This initiative provided 465 sets of scholarships and educational support—including cash, backpacks, and school supplies—to kindergarten and primary students, along with 315 gift sets for struggling families that included essential items like rice, fish sauce, dried fish, and 100 warm blankets for the Na Meo boarding high school.

For the past 16 years, NSRP has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to supporting the communities surrounding the refinery. In a significant expansion of its mission, starting in Q1 2024, NSRP has extended its outreach beyond the Nghi Son region to aid more disadvantaged communities in Thanh Hoa province, beginning with Cam Thuy District. This year, the company reached further into the remote and challenging mountainous terrain of Quan Son, reinforcing its dedication to making a broader impact.

The journey to deliver these much-needed supplies was no small feat. Despite the fact that heavy rains and cold winds threatened to disrupt the plans, NSRP’s team remained resolute. Our commitment to overcoming harsh weather and difficult terrain ensured that warmth and support reached the most vulnerable communities.

The emotional impact of the journey was profound, bringing joy and relief to children and families facing tough circumstances. NSRP’s dedication to community support is more than just words; it is evident in every action taken to uplift and empower those in need. As the company continues to expand its mission, this initiative serves as a powerful reminder of the difference we can make when we come together to support one another.

NSRP remains committed to building a brighter, more sustainable future for all the communities it serves, proving that compassion and collaboration can create lasting change.
