Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Limited Liability Company (NSRP) in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam announces that, on 6th June, 2018, the Members’ Council of NSRP appointed Mr. Shintaro Ishida to be the General Director of NSRP and Mr. Khaled Al-Bader to be a Deputy General Director of NSRP. The registration with the competent authorities of Vietnam was completed on 11th June, 2018.

Mr. Ishida is appointed to be the General Director of NSRP after more than 4 years being the Senior Manager of the Planning and Control Department and then a Deputy General Director of NSRP. Mr. Ishida expects that over the coming months commissioning of the refinery will be completed and all necessary permits and licenses will be issued to put the refinery into commercial operation.

Mr. Khaled Al-Bader is appointed as a Deputy General Director of NSRP after having vast experience as the senior manager at Idemitsu-Q8, a foreign invested joint venture company in Vietnam between Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd, from Japan and Kuwait Petroleum Europe B.V. The experience of Mr. Khaled Al-Bader, especially in the marketing work, will add value to NSRP in the upcoming periods.

The most important goal of the new Management of NSRP is to ensure the success of NSRP in the coming months in achieving commercial operation so as to meet the growing domestic demand for refined petroleum and petrochemical products driven by rapid industrialization and modernization of Vietnam. The commercial operation of NSRP Project within 2018 will be one of the major steps for the country to achieve self-sufficiency in refined products and secure energy sources.
