On December 5, 2024, NSRP held the concluding workshop for its Community Emergency Preparedness and Response (CEPR) Project, capping off five months of impactful initiatives aimed at bolstering emergency response skills among local communities.
The event gathered key stakeholders, including representatives from the Nghi Son District People’s Committee, local communes (Mai Lam, Tinh Hai, and Hai Yen), and beneficiary schools. Representing NSRP was Mr. Hiroaki Honjo, Manager of Administration, Social & Community, and Public Relations Department, along with members of the Social and Community Team.
Mr. Hiroaki Honjo opened the final workshop by highlighting the remarkable success of the project, which he attributed to the strong support and close collaboration with local authorities and communities. He also emphasized the practical value of the project activities in enhancing emergency response skills for the beneficiaries. “This initiative has not only enhanced emergency response skills but also reaffirmed our commitment to fostering local development,” Honjo stated, echoing NSRP’s ethos of being “Good Neighbors.”
After 5 months of implementation, the project has achieved the following remarkable results:
Overall, the CERP project met and exceeded the set targets by 13% to 22%. In addition, 100% of project participants were very satisfied with the activities implemented by the project.

Communication events for students at three targeted schools:
Tinh Hai secondary school, Mai Lam secondary school, Tinh Gia 3 high school.
Emergency evacuation drills activities.
Maintain emergency map and donate equipment.
Following the presentation, attendees engaged in a dynamic discussion, reflecting on the project’s achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
On behalf of the local authorities, Mr. Tran Binh Thuan, Chairman of Mai Lam ward, commended the CEPR Project as a vital initiative that significantly enhances community safety during emergencies. He expressed hope for continued collaboration with NSRP and emphasized the importance of raising awareness for the welfare of local populations.
The workshop not only celebrated the project’s accomplishments but also served as a catalyst for future initiatives, with participants recognizing NSRP’s proactive leadership and dedication to corporate social responsibility. As the CEPR Project concludes, its legacy will undoubtedly inspire similar efforts in the area.
