On December 15, 2025, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP), in collaboration with the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command and the Thanh Hoa Red Cross Society, organized a handover ceremony for sponsored items under the “Bright Border Villages” initiative in Tam Thanh Commune, Thanh Hoa Province.

Representing NSRP, Mr. Hiroaki Honjo, Administration and Corporate Affairs Department Manager presented a support donation worth 550 million VND to Thanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hiroaki Honjo, Administration and Corporate Affairs Department Manager of NSRP; Colonel Nguyen Van Dong – Deputy Political Commander of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command; Mr. Le Xuan Hao, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Red Cross Society; along with leaders of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station and local authorities of Tam Thanh Commune.

Launched in 2024 by the Border Guard Command, the “Bright Border Villages” model aims to improve living conditions for residents in 11 disadvantaged villages along the border. Recognizing the program’s meaningful impact, NSRP signed a sponsorship agreement with the Thanh Hoa Red Cross Society to support the construction of five welcome gates and installation of 109 solar-powered lights across the targeted villages, with a total value of VND 550 million.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Hiroaki Honjo emphasized: “We deeply appreciate the close coordination among the Thanh Hoa Red Cross Society, the Border Guard Command, local authorities, and communities throughout the implementation process. This joint effort has brought tangible benefits to border residents. We believe today’s contributions will help improve living standards, enhance community safety, and deliver sustainable value for generations to come.”
