Thanh Hoa Provincial Leaders reaffirm support for NSRP’s sustainable operations

As part of an official working program in the Nghi Sơn Economic Zone, Mr. Le Duc Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hóa Province, led a high‑level provincial delegation on a working visit to Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical (NSRP) on 6 May 2026.

The visit followed earlier working sessions at key infrastructure projects in the economic zone, including Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant and Nghi Sơn International Port, underscoring the province’s strong focus on strategic industrial development.

The delegation included senior provincial leaders: Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyễn Hồng Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Mr. Ma Xuan Liem, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by NSRP Management, together with division managers of the refinery.

During the visit, NSRP leadership presented an overview of the refinery’s production performance, highlighting its critical role in ensuring a stable and reliable supply of petroleum products to the domestic market. The briefing emphasized NSRP’s continued contributions to national energy security and its positive impact on the socio‑economic development of Thanh Hoa Province.

NSRP also shared key recommendations with the provincial leaders on mechanisms and policies aimed at supporting the refinery’s stable and sustainable long‑term operations, reflecting the company’s proactive approach to operational excellence amid an evolving regulatory and market environment.

In his remarks, Provincial Party Secretary Le Duc Thai commended NSRP for its strong focus on workplace safety, its important role in meeting Vietnam’s fuel supply needs, and its significant contributions to the provincial budget. He reaffirmed the provincial leadership’s continued support for NSRP and other key industrial projects within the Nghi SonEconomic Zone, and emphasized the importance of close coordination to address strategic challenges and enable sustainable industrial growth.

The visit underscores the close cooperation and mutual trust between Thanh Hoa provincial authorities and NSRP. Such high‑level engagement plays a vital in facilitating dialogue on strategic issues and fostering a favorable environment for industrial investment and development in the region.
