Field Operator

Plant Operations 

• Works outside in the plant and communicate with Panel Operator and Lead Field Operator to operate and monitor equipment and instruments (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves) safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures during normal operations.
• Conduct routine site patrols and inspections to check equipment performance and record log-sheet.
• Collect process stream samples and deliver them to the laboratory for analysis.
• Coordinate with Panel Operator and Lead Field Operator to safely conduct startup and shutdown activities such as start up and shut down pumps, compressors, and other equipment in line with standard operating procedures. Monitor instruments, gauges & meters to verify stable operating conditions

Equipment care & first line maintenance 

• Conduct daily Basic Equipment Care (BEC) to monitor and look after the assigned equipment and area which includes the equipment’s performance/ condition and 5S execution.
• Timely execute the first line maintenance activities (Minor maintenance) to ensure that minor problems of equipment and instrument are identified and fixed by operators at early stage to ensure safety, reliability and also save maintenance cost.

Equipment Maintenance Preparation & supervision 

• Prepare equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, purging steaming, and execute other procedures as required.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Team & Contractor to validate for day-to-day maintenance works & provide regular supervision on the safe work practice & compliance.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Team and Contractor for equipment test run after maintenance. Execute site condition confirmation before PTW closeout.

Site safety assurance – emergency response & Compliance 

• Periodically conduct the plant checkout of Serious Disaster Prevention Management (SDPM) items to assure the safe conditions of the refinery safety equipment & systems.
• Take immediate corrective actions during abnormal or emergency situations as per emergency response procedures.
• • Actively participate in safety promotion programs such as lesson-learned sharing, point-and-call practice, and risk prediction activities to enhance safe operations
• • Strictly follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure all operations meet environmental and safety requirement.
• If assigned as a firefighting crew member, perform firefighting duties during emergencies in accordance with safety requirements

Training Participation and Improvement

• Attend all mandatory & in-house training courses as required by NSRP and company standards
• Continuously update knowledge of refinery processes, equipment operation, and safety standards. Learn and apply new procedures, best practices, and lessons learned from incidents or near misses
• Other tasks assigned by direct supervisor/manager

• Education level: University/College/Vocational training – College graduated is preferred.
• Major in Petroleum, Petrochemical, Chemical, Environment, Water treatment, Thermal engineering, Marine (0-2 years experience).
• Basic English skill, TOEIC 350 or above
