On December 17, 2021, NSRP, together with Contractor – the consortium of TTCL Vietnam and PMS, held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Biological Pond System Project at Area C of the Refinery.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of Mr. Le Nguyen Quoc Vinh – Deputy General Manager of NSRP, representatives of NSRP Divisions, Thanh Hoa’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment, NSEZ, Nghi Son Authority, Economic Security, and subcontractors.

At the event

The Biological Pond System is a very important project to NSRP. It is built with the aim to prevent incidents being caused by wastewater of the Refinery, ensuring complete safety for the seawater environment and marine ecosystem.

The delegates perform groundbreaking ceremony

The Project comprises a series of 4 bio ponds with total capacity up to 51,000m3 of water, pumping station and pipeline supporting system that shall be built in an area of almost 10 hectares inside Area C of the Refinery. According to the Contract, the Project is scheduled for completion and put into operation by end of September 2022 after being approved and licensed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
