On 28th November 2018, a number of newspapers such as VnExpress, Dantri published several articles alleging that “State Auditor transferred documents recording violation at the Nghi Son Refinery & Petrochemical Project to police for further investigation”. Having studied such articles, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Limited Liability Company (NSRP) hereby affirms that the content of such articles is misleading and potentially causes misunderstanding among readers regarding such violation. NSRP was not involved in any of such alleged violations. In fact, the articles refer to activities carried out by the Nghi Son Refinery & Petrochemical Management Board (NSPM) which is an independent entity separate from NSRP and which is a subsidiary under Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (PVN).

Therefore, by way of this press release, NSRP again re-affirms that NSRP was not involved in any of alleged violations mentioned in the articles.

NSRP is a joint venture company sponsored by joint venture parties including Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (PVN) from Vietnam, Kuwait Petroleum Europe (KPE) from Kuwait, Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd (IKC) and Mitsui Chemicals Inc (MCI) from Japan.
