Appendix 1: Brief SOW
+ General issue:
The NSRP Sea Water Trash Racks (104-Y-002 A/B/C) are located at the Equipment Bays of the Seawater Intake Sump.
They consist of vertical or slightly inclined bars installed perpendicular to the direction of flow.
Their function is to remove debris from the seawater before it enters the intake system.
Due to the severe impact of the storm in 2025, the trash rack screens at the seawater intake system were damaged and bent. In addition, the bolting connections between the trash rack screens and the concrete structure were broken.
+ Service Purpose:
Due to damage to the underwater trash rack screens of the Sea Water Intake System, NSRP requires a qualified Contractor to carry out replacement of the trash rack screens, including temporary seawater isolation, structural and mechanical repairs, reinstallation of equipment, commissioning, and final handover.
The works shall be executed under near-shore and marine conditions while ensuring safety, quality, and minimal impact on remaining operating intake trains.
The objective of this work is to:
– Design and install Temporary Seawater Isolation system to Safely isolate seawater flow for each train.
– Replace damaged underwater trash rack screens
– Repair associated structural and foundation elements
– Reinstall and successfully commission trash rack and associated equipment.
– Remove the Temporary Seawater Isolation system
– Restore the Sea Water trash rack to full and reliable operation.
+ Service Timeline:
We need to complete repairing the trash rack before Y2026 storm season comes
