| Responsibilities |
The Senior Marine Engineer is responsible for implementing design, drawings, scope of works of approved projects and MOCs to support other divisions and providing technical support and resolutions for the NSRP projects such as upgrade, modification, and extension projects to meet NSRP requirements and related standards.
The Senior Marine Engineer takes following key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Marine Engineering Design Management:
- Conduct (SPM system, COP – Crude Oil Pipeline, Sea water outfall pipe line and other marine equipment…) work for projects engineering stages including Pre-FS, FS, Basis Design, FEED and Detailed Design (review/approve, implement engineering design drawings, models, specifications, calculations and providing technical responses to clarifications requests).
- Act as Marine Engineering Technical Authority TA-2 to use engineering design and drawing software to do design work or review the Engineering design by 3rd party for implementation included static Equipment, piping, Mechanical Marine Equipment such as SPM, PLEM, crude oil pipeline.
- Ensure all design works (SPM system, COP, Sea water outfall pipe line and other marine equipment…) complies with applicable local and international codes and standards and NSRP specifications and requirements.
- Contractor Management:
- Supervise performance of service contractor for Marine Engineering design works (SPM system, COP, Sea water outfall pipe line and other marine equipment…), construction works, EPC works, …to ensure compliance with standards, Specification, schedule, quality, legal and NSRP requirements.
- Asset Integrity, Reliability & Root Cause Analysis:
- Review and evaluate the Marine Integrity program to ensure the Marine assets are well-managed in compliance to Legal regulation and OEM recommendation.
- Conduct Marine asset Integrity evaluation for the Inspection finding for Fitness For service assessment with OEM consultant to ensure the marine asset are safe for long term operation.
- Manage root cause analysis for failed equipment and mitigation strategies to minimize reoccurrence to ensure Investigation and corrective action timely.
- Cooperate with Operation for Vessel vetting evaluation.
- Provide marine engineering integrity assessment and recommendation to comply with NSRP standards, technical specification.
- Workload Management & Allocation:
- Prepare manning plan for resource including day-to-day, Project work and Turn Around Event to ensure all Engineering workload are well-arranged and well-executed.
- Quality Assurance:
- Provide quality assurance check on Marine Engineering works (SPM system, COP, Sea water outfall pipe line and other marine equipment…) to ensure compliance with NSRP procedures, Specifications and code/standards.
- Turnaround Support:
- Implement the Turnaround work list registration and Engineering work as Workpack developed from Turnaround event.
- Implement design solutions as Turnaround troubleshooting and finding to meet NSRP Codes, Standards, Technical Specification and other Requirements.
- Other tasks assigned by Direct Supervisor/Managers.
