(Senior) Process Engineer

Performance Monitoring

• Provide essential data on the restricted conditions of units or facilities, operational performance, and catalyst replacement planning to inform production planning, followed by regular evaluation
• Evaluate and overseeing operating performance metrics, including yield, product quality, catalyst lifespan, reactivity, fluidity, contaminants, plugging, and equipment performance
• Prepare daily/monthly evaluation reports for operating performance

Plant Operations and Improvement: Take Lead for Refinery Projects/initiatives 

• Conduct studies to enhance profitability, encompassing energy-saving measures, effective operating procedures like startup and shutdown, and technical studies related to production, quality, and environmental concerns to improve production technology while prioritizing profitability and safety
• Develop catalyst change out phylosophy and strategy. Assist proper catalyst / chemical loading through communication with Licensor or catalyst vendor
• Develop chemical / catalyst bidding package for refinery stable operation. Review chemical / catalyst bidding package developed by Process Engineer and Jr Process Engineer.
• Improve key performance indicators (KPIs) by enhancing production technology
• Proceed with complex troubleshooting activities including process issues investigattion, and providing necessary measures, including operational guidelines
• .Conduct incident investigation by using methods such as Taproot, 5 Whys etc.
• Serve in Process Safety Management and execute Management of Change processes for operational conditions.
• Develop implementation plan for process study Utilize process simulators or operating training simulators for technical studies
• Proceed with basic planning for CAPEX Project

Information & System Management

• Update and manage technical information related to production technology, such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and operating parameters
• Document meeting minutes and formal reports for technical studies
• Gather technical information related to production technology both domestically and internationally and assessing its applicability to our refinery.
• Coordinate with individuals in charge in other sections or divisions to ensure implementation of corrective actions developed from root cause analysis
• Collect necessary information in collaboration with other divisions or sections to fulfill role requirements.Review/develop procedures for process management.

Team Leadership & Development

• Prepare and deliver root cause analysis training and incident reporting training to relevant employees.
• Provide guidance and technical resources to younger engineers under the direction of the leader.

Others

• Plan refinery-wide projects/initiatives, coordinating action items and schedulesOther Tasks assigned by Direct Supervisor/Manager

Education Level

• University graduated

Qualfications

• Degree of Chemical Engineering or equivalent

Work Experience

• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in petroleum/petrochemical process design and operation, or equivalent
