NSRP awarded 514 million-valued scholarship for students in Nghi Son District and students of HUMG

In order to contribute to the development of future local human resources, NSRP has implemented Scholarship program since 2015 which foster educational opportunities for students facing financial hardship, recognize and support students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements.

To date, 1,543 slots of scholarship have been awarded with a total value of about 7,3 billion VND, contributing to the education and talent promotion of the locality of the country in general.

On November 17th, 2023, NSRP cooperated with Nghi Son Association of Education Promotion to organize NSRP Scholarship 2023 Award Ceremony.

The awarding ceremony witnessed the participation of representatives of Nghi Son District’s Leaders including Mr. Truong Ba Duyen – Standing Vice Secretary of Nghi Son District’s Party Committee, Mr. Mai Sy Lan – Standing Vice Chairman of Nghi Son District People’s Committee (NSDPC) and   Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Van – Head of Nghi Son District Department of Education and Training.

From NSRP side, there was presence of Mr. Hiroaki Honjo – Administration, Social & Community and Public Relations Manager and Social team members; representatives of 6 schools, 31 heads of 31 communes/wards’ Associations of Education Promotion in Nghi Son District; together with beneficiary students/pupils and their parents.

At this ceremony, NSRP successfully granted 294 scholarship slots equivalent to 384,000,000 VND to students and pupils, in which: 10 slots were granted to students in difficulty from 03 affected communes/wards of Mai Lam, Tinh Hai, Hai Yen; 186 slots were granted to 186 pupils in difficulty from 31 communes/wards of Nghi Son District; and 98 slots for the students with excellent academic achievement of Luong Chi Primary and Secondary School and 05 high schools in Nghi Son District.

The event received high acknowledgement and appreciation from Nghi Son District’s Leader representatives. Mr. Truong Ba Duyen – Standing Vice Secretary of Nghi Son District’s Party Committee said: “This is a very useful and human program for the local education. I acknowledged and highly appreciated NSRP for always accompanying the Nghi Son District’s promotion education. I hope that NSRP will continue to prioritize awarding annual scholarships to students/pupils, increase the number of beneficiary students/pupils and expand support areas beyond Mai Lam, Tinh Hai and Hai Yen communes/wards”.

One week later, on November 24th, 2023, in implementation of Agreement between NSRP and Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), NSRP cooperated with HUMG to award 13 scholarship slots with total value of VND 130,000,000 for 13 excellent students from Thanh Hoa province studying at HUMG.

Attended the scholarships awarding ceremony was representatives of NSRP: Mr. Hiroaki Honjo – Administration, Social & Community and Public Relations Manager together with the Social team members.

From HUMG, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Hung Truong – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Ha – Public Relation Manager; representatives of leaders of HUMG’s departments and faculties; and excellent students awarded the scholarships.

Representative of HUMG thanked NSRP for awarding scholarships to their students and expressed their hope that NSRP will continue to maintain, broaden the scholarship program in coming years.
