Corporate Planning & Strategic Projects is looking for Project Planning/Scheduling Engineer with JD as below. 

Project Planning/Scheduling Engineer is responsible in monitoring, updating, reporting, and revising the project schedule as necessary. He/ She monitors the accomplishments of overall project execution from preparation, bidding, engineering, procurement, installation/ construction at site until project closeout and analyzes its effect on the project schedule.

For this position, minimum works are as follows:

• Participate in the analysis of capital projects to plan the most effective execution sequence in light of company business plan and current industry practices;
• Develop detailed project schedules in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders, identifying critical paths, milestones, and resource allocation;
• Monitor and update project schedules to reflect progress, changes, and forecasted impacts on project timelines. Discuss to resolve long term and short-term planning and scheduling problems with project PIC and with contractor organizations;
• Analyze project performance and identify areas for improvement, providing solutions to mitigate delays and optimize resource utilization;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather all necessary data for accurate scheduling and planning;
• Prepare and present reports on schedule status, variances from the original plan, and potential impact on project delivery;
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, NSRP standards and policies, and contractual obligations in all scheduling activities;
• Assist in the development and implementation of scheduling standards and best practices within the organization;
• Contribute to defining resource requirements and recruitment / resourcing plan in close consultation with Project Control Leader;
• Provides comments and recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements to Project Control Leader;
• Carry out tasks as assigned by Project Control Leader and higher managers.

Educational Level : University Graduated, Degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering or similar.

Work Experience : Min 5-year experience in Project experience (project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, closeout) in petroleum/ petrochemical design/ operation or Equivalent.

Skills :

• Proven experience as a Project Scheduling Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in refining/petrochemical industry;
• Expertise in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar;
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and practices;
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Proficient level of English skill
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
